What it runs

Rates are per site.

    $45

    Per night, per site.

  • Weekly

    $200

    Seven nights.

  • Monthly

    $300

    Per month, long-term welcome. $150 deposit.

What's included

Water, sewer, WiFi, and full hookups. Electric is metered and billed separately.

How the park runs

The short version. Read the full rules & regulations and the site service agreement if you'd like them before you arrive.

  • Check-out

    Check-out is at noon.

  • Payment

    Rent and electric are due on the 1st of the month.

  • Late fee

    A $25 late fee applies after the 10th.

  • Electric

    Electric is metered and billed separately. A $150 refundable electric deposit is due up front.

  • Your site

    Keep your site neat and clean, and leave it the way you found it. Sites can't be sublet or passed along to somebody else.

  • Guests

    The park rules apply to your guests and visitors too.

The area

Port O'Connor

Port O'Connor sits at the end of the road, where Matagorda Bay meets the Gulf. Most folks come here to fish.

The fishing

Redfish, speckled trout, and flounder are what people are after. Wade the flats, fish the jetties, or run out to the surf when it lays down. Plenty of guides work out of town if you'd rather have somebody put you on fish.

There are public boat ramps in town, including Froggie's, which is close to the park.

On the water

Matagorda Island is a short boat ride across the channel. Undeveloped. Beach, dunes, birds, and not much else. King Fisher Beach is right in town on the bay side, easy for kids, a chair in the shade, or sliding a kayak in.

The Port O'Connor Paddling Trail runs back through the marsh and the back lakes. Boggy is where people go to bird. Close, quiet, and worth a slow morning.

In town

You'll eat well here too. There are some good restaurants in town, and a few of them put on live music on the weekends.

Through the year

Summer is tournament season and the town fills up, so call early for a tournament week.

Fall is quieter and the redfish run good. Some folks stay the whole winter. Whenever you come, you're a few minutes from the water.
